Glyn Yates is currently Principal Consultant at GTM Middle East, a specialised consultancy practice helping small and medium enterprises (SME) throughout the region. He is an evangelist of the importance that the SME role plays underpinning the UAE economy and works to maximise business’ strategic effectiveness, revenue sustainability, and growth acceleration from planning to execution.
After many years establishing business practices with multi-billion dollar tech companies in the UK, Glyn moved to the UAE in 2011 and very quickly helped a number of tech giants develop strategic positioning specific to the needs of Middle East markets across MENA and Levant, designing and defining competitive advantage, go to market strategy and execution.
Glyn graduated in Chemical Engineering (B.Eng Hons) from the University of Birmingham (UK) and achieved his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from London School of Economics and Political Science (UK). He is also certified in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Having mastered the SME landscape in the region, Glyn understands the gap in advisory and consultancy both available and financially viable to anything less than enterprise organisations.
His vision is for GTM to be more than just a consultancy, the execution services offered are unique, so it’s not merely about advising on the dream or the plan but defining and delivering on the company objectives which change over time.
He relishes the challenge of assisting companies through the maturity of small business:
Existence, survival, success, take-off resource maturity.
He is a firm believer in “what got you here, won’t get you there”
